Training and Certification

This course trains professionals on how to effectively facilitate a Full Disclosure after sexual betrayal. This certification course is created as a partner and betrayal trauma sensitive approach and is a supplemental certification to the Multidimensional Partner Trauma Model Training by APSATS. It will include a step-by-step guide for deciding if disclosure is appropriate, preparing both the partner and the disclosure, facilitating the actual process, considerations to be made after completion of the disclosure and business practice tools.

Certified Clinical Disclosure Guide: CCDG - Clinician Requirements:

  • Licensed, or in the process of attaining clinical license, in your state. 
  • For international clinicians – Have comparable education and demonstration of comparable experience. 


Certified Disclosure Guide Coach: CDGC - Coach Requirements (must meet the criteria of one of the following):

Steps to certification:

Step 1) Complete Restoring Truth: Disclosure Guide Training.

Step 2) Meet APSATS professional criteria for licensed clinicians and coaches. Contact Jo Vanatta at [email protected] to verify you meet the criteria. Once you are cleared you will move to Step 3.

Step 3) Complete a mentorship agreement.

Step 4) Actively participate in the preparation and/or facilitation of one Full Disclosure using KRP Model. Only disclosures occuring post training will qualify.

Step 5) Complete 12 hours of mentoring sessions for utilizing the KRP’ Full Disclosure process.

Candidates may not earn more than 6 hours without participating in a disclosure experience using the KRP’ Full Disclosure process.


  • Minimum of 6 Individual Mentoring Hours - ‘Individual’ hours can include two candidates (dyad)
  • Minimum of 2 hours with Janice
  • Minimum of 2 hours with Dan
  • 2 hours may be done with Jeanne
  • Minimum of 6 Group Mentoring Hours
  • Minimum 2 hours with Janice
  • Minimum 2 hours with Dan
  • 2 hours may be done with Jeanne


  • It is at the discretion of the mentor team if additional mentoring hours are needed for successful completion.
  • Complete requirements within 1 year; however, may apply for extensions with cause (in advance of one year deadline). 
  • Successful completion of Disclosure Guide application, including case study.

JANICE CAUDILL

PhD, CCPS-S, CSAT-S, CPTT-S, PRT, IAT, SEP


A family psychologist in McKinney, Texas. She is a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist Supervisor, a Certified Clinical Partner Specialist Supervisor, a Certified Partner Recovery Therapist, a Sexual Recovery Therapist, an Intimacy Anorexia Therapist, a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, and is EMDR trained.

DAN DRAKE

LMFT, LPCC, CCPS-S, CSAT-S


A licensed therapist in Los Angeles, California. He is a    Certified Sex Addiction Therapist Supervisor, a Certified  Clinical Partner Specialist Supervisor, and he is EMDR    trained. He has received two masters degrees from        Fuller Theological seminary in Marital and Family            Therapy and in Theology.
